As a Project Controller with Alfabs you will be responsible for supporting our project operations team ensuring the successful execution of projects to completion. You will collaborate closely with various internal and external stakeholders to develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets while adhering to quality standards and project deadlines.

Reporting to the Program Delivery Manager, the Project Controller will be responsible for the support and management of program/project delivery processes including but not limited to, financial management, schedule management, head contract and subcontract administration, project team productivity tracking, workforce management systems, and compliance with Alfabs standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Team and Project Delivery Manager in the preparation of project reports detailing progress, resource information, costs forecasts and milestone dates.
  • Review cost allocations against approved budgets, and proactively report on potential budget overruns
  • Review and provide sub margin analysis on labour, materials, equipment and indirect costs
  • Track master portfolio schedule progress of the projects and the changes to the individual project programs, cost, and scope of work.
  • Coordinate progress claims for approval by Contract Managers/ Contract Owners and submit to Clients
  • Provide commentary concerning the underlying performance of the contract(s)
  • Assist in the development of improved commercial workflows, Variation control processes and work instructions that support the project, Team.
  • Support continuous improvement and development of Workforce Management tools.
  • Promote safe working practices and a culture of safe behaviours and attitudes.
  • Collaborate with project teams to resolve scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, and other project-related issues.

Your skills and experience will include?

  • Strong experience with Microsoft based products particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong experience in schedule tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
  • Strong Experience with Project Controls including disciplines of Cost, Schedule, Risk, Quality and Document Control.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills.
  • Background in working with project teams delivering high value projects.
  • Possess eye for detail and accuracy with numbers is essential.
  • Excellent general computer literacy skill
  • Ability to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritise tasks efficiently
